European Culture Congress is an event which gathers culture creators, commentators, critics and all other persons that determine direction of culture development. Theoreticians and practitioners, champions and alternative creators, representatives of the top level national authorities, European institutions and non-governmental organizations, as well as journalists visited Wrocław Centennial Hall in September 2011.
Discourse on the changing definition of culture and scenario of its development in the contemporary world was the leading theme of the four day Congress. Numerous artistic events participated by culture activists accompanied debates which concerned the latest issues of the contemporary culture.
